Aurora 1.3.0 is out
Aurora now runs in the browser, and the terminal gets plan mode, trial runs and spending caps.
Aurora 1.3.0 is out. The big change is that Aurora now runs in a browser as well as in the terminal.
The web version
aurora --web serves the same agent as a chat page, on a desktop or a phone. It has a sidebar of past chats with
search and folders, Markdown notes you can send to Aurora as context, file attachments with previews, voice input and
read aloud. The model menu can wake a sleeping local model and edit the model list.
The page can run tools, so it needs a bearer token and starts with auto-approve on. Keep the token to yourself and put the page behind TLS.
New in the terminal
/plan onlets Aurora read and search but change nothing, so it writes a plan first./try <task>runs the task in a throwaway copy of your project. You apply, discard or keep the result./budgetcaps spending per session or per day.- At the approval prompt you can allow a call for the rest of the session without saving a rule.
- Enter queues your next message while a turn runs, Ctrl+Enter sends it into the running turn, and typing
stopcancels.
Smaller changes
A local server that unloaded its model now shows as asleep, and Aurora warns you before the slow first reply. A model that repeats the same tool call is stopped after three rounds. The secret scan flags fewer false positives, and edits to existing files work on macOS again.
The version scheme moves to 1.3. The full list is in the release notes on GitHub, and the Aurora page has screenshots.
